A24âs Christmas release turns ping-pong into a high-stakes dream chase with Chalamet, Paltrow, and an eclectic all-star cast
A24 has dropped the first teaser trailer for Josh Safdieâs Marty Supreme, a sports dramedy thatâs anything but ordinary. The film stars Timothée Chalamet as Marty Mauser, a fiercely determined ping-pong prodigy convinced he can transform the misunderstood pastime into a global phenomenon.
The footage captures Marty locked in a tense, sweat-drenched table tennis showdown, his intensity matched only by his unwavering belief in the sportâs future. âI know itâs hard to believe, but Iâm telling you, this game, it fills stadiums overseas,â he insists, promising itâs only a matter of time before his face lands on a Wheaties box.
